View Full Version : Nursing Home Visit...time to do it again!
Date Friday Aug 15 @ 4:30 PM (be there at 4:15) we will be going to Valleyview Nursing home....if you are interested in taking your dog please PM me or post on this thread...we had a GREAT turn out last time. Remember that your pet must be very docile and friendly, trim their nails just in case, and be sure to have their current rabies vaccination tags on them.

How about turtles? I could tie a string around his shell like a leash. :Spin!:
With all the dogs, you'd think I would have at least ONE dog that would be calm enough for that. Shesh.

Woo hoo! Now we're talking! J's gerbils are sweet...or at least when he holds them. I haven't really played with them much. I've not been bitten, but with my luck, I would! It's too bad I didn't still have my ferrets....those would be fun. :chuckle:

Well, I won't be able to make the visit. Little Arny got run over about 2 weeks ago. Amos, the other dog I adopted from here got to digging out from under my gate. I thought I had bricks enough places so that he couldn't dig, but I was wrong. So, I had looked and looked for Arny, tried to call the ACO in Breck on a Monday and on Tuesday, I got the call that they had gotten my name from his rabies and city tags. I got excited and said I've been looking for that stinker (Amos had come home). Well, she told me that when they were trying to catch Arny, he ran across Walker St. right in front of a car and got hit. It's so sad..............anyway, I won't be able to go to the nursing home. Amos is too hyper and I'm afraid he might accidentally scratch one of the residents. Thanks to all who will be participating in this, the little folks just love it.

"Bump" simply means, you don't necessarily have something to say, but you want to bump a topic back towards the top so it's not forgotten. Took me a while at first to figure it out too.

Thanks to you both, it makes me feel so bad. But once dogs start digging and figure out how to get out, it seems like it's hard to break them of it.

Well, as cute as they are, I'm not up for any more pets. I'm actually thinking real hard about finding a home for Amos. He's such a good boy, but he needs more attention than I can give him cause I'm home so little. A few hours in the evenings before bed, but then I normally work somewhere most week-ends. But I don't know, I sure would miss him and he's so attached to us too. But he loves to fetch and play and thinks he has to go everywhere with me, so lots of times if I'm just gonna be a few minutes in the store He gose and I leave my truck running with the AC on, so he can go riding. He does go with me quite a bit now, but I don't know. Anyway, I'm rambling, so .............sorry. Good luck on Mocha and Capp, they really are cuties.
