Wags & Whiskers next adoptathon will be Saturday, September 13th, at the ZJ's Trade Days.

All animals that we accept to find homes for must have prior approval and includes a $10 fee/animal.

We are also accepting donations of nice items that we can sell. We already have a nice mantle clock and a pocketwatch with horses on the outer cover.

Does the Cisco ACO have some that we're going to take with us, he seems to be swamped with them too.

I don't guess I realized your organization worked with towns besides Eastland, that's great. I'll be sure and spread the word, I have relatives in Cisco and friends in Ranger. Do you help both of those towns?

Last count I had, we were full. But, I'll double check with Bubba, I know her truck is full and mine is in the shop, so I can't transport anything but supplies. We will have another one on the 4th of October though.

OK, Just hung up from Bubba and as long as y'all can bring them out there and pick them up if they are not adopted out, it's not problem for them to be in the adoptathon. But since I don't have my truck, we just don't have a way to transport them. Have you checked with C.A.R.E. too to see if she has any scheduled? Let us know, because I'm about to call some people with lots and lots of puppies.

I hope you have some that can hold on until Saturday. Our big problem is transportation. Last adoptathon I helped at WalMart nearly drove me crazy! I had promised way too many people that I would pick up their critters. I was running late and that's when UKNOWME had her little incident with the "little" red heeler. I still feel bad about that. So, I'm a slow learner but I am going to try to not overextend myself again. Got to go to Cisco for the boxer (thanks again to mbh76437) and got to pick up some in Eastland.

Hope it works out. I also hope you have Bella, Dip, Baby Doll, and Spunky. They are all so cute. Seems like one of them got adopted. Hope to see the others there.

I would hope that your organization would not adopt to a person who is very obviously wanting to use the animal for breeding purposes. That only compounds the animal problem in this county.

While I advocate an agressive spay and nueter standard. I do believe that resposnible pet owners will not let their animal run free if they are altered or not.

Got a call from Cindy at ZJ's this morning and Trade Days are cancelled. The vendors that were coming from areas effected by the storm have cancelled so it is called off. Happy JP :sadpace:

OK, made a visit at lunch and the generous manager of Tractor Supply said it would be great if we had an adoptathon there, soooooooooo, new location will be in front of Tractor from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. Hope to see you all there.

We adopted out 4, possibly 5, animals and made some money too! Considering the last minute location change, it was very successful. We want to thank TRACTOR SUPPLY for allowing us to use their lot. Their employees were very helpful and we appreciate it very much.

The highlight of our day was to adopt out Daisy. Daisy is a wonderful, spayed, large red dog that has been in at least 4 of our adoptathons. Her foster family was so very kind to keep her as long as they did but this was going to be her last adoptathon, or at least we would have to find a new foster family. But she found a home that we know will spoil her silly! We were so very grateful for that because we had all fallen in love with that girl!
