I am wanting to make beef tips for the first time. I found some recipes online, but they are kinda complicated. Anyone know an easy way to make beef tips with rice or noodles? I was hoping to make them this weekend.
Couldn't tell ya dolphins but you can give me a holler when you get them done and I'll come try them out for you. Cause you know you don't want to feed your family some food that doesn't taste good!:chuckle:

I found this recipe for beef stroganoff, I guess it would be similar to beef tips. If you use beef tips you would have to make sure they are tender, maybe add a little flour to them?
1 lb ground beef
3 slices bacon diced
1/2 c chopped onion
1/4 tsp papricka
dash of pepper
1 can condensed cream of muchroom soup
1 cup dairy sour cream
hot buttered noodles
Brown ground beef with bacon. Add onion, cook until tender but not brown. Drain off the excess fat. Add seasonings to meat mixture. Stir in soup. Cook slowly, uncovered, for 20 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in sour cream and heat through, do not boil. Serve over hot buttered noodles.

Here's another recipe. I guess you can doctor it up to your liking as well.
Best Beef Stroganoff
INGREDIENTS
1 (16 ounce) package egg noodles
2 tablespoons butter, softened
2 onions, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (8 ounce) package fresh mushrooms, thinly sliced
1 pound beef loin steak, cut into thin strips
1 (14 ounce) can beef consomme
1/4 cup Burgundy wine (optional)
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons cold water, or as needed
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream

DIRECTIONS
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add noodles and cook 5 to 7 minutes or until al dente; drain.
Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir in onions and garlic, and cook until slightly tender. Mix in mushrooms, and continue cooking 2 minutes. Place steak strips in saucepan and cook about 1 minute. Mix in consomme, Burgundy and lemon juice. Bring to a boil.
In a small bowl, thoroughly blend flour with cold water until smooth. Reduce saucepan heat to low. While stirring constantly, slowly pour flour mixture into saucepan. Gradually return to boil while stirring rapidly, until sauce is thick and smooth. Cover saucepan and continue cooking 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, let cool slightly and stir in sour cream. Serve over cooked egg noodles.

One more recipe:)
Easy Beef Stroganoff
1 (12 ounce) package egg noodles, cooked and drained
6 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 onion, chopped
1/4 cup butter
2 pounds lean ground beef
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups beef broth
1 cup sour cream
salt and black pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook egg noodles in boiling water until done, about 8 minutes. Drain.
Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. In a large skillet, cook mushrooms and onions in 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat until soft; remove from pan.
Using the same pan, melt remaining butter. Cook ground beef in melted butter until browned. Mix in flour. Stir in beef broth, and cook until slightly thickened. Add mushroom and onion mixture; stir in sour cream. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Continue cooking until sauce is hot, but not boiling. Serve sauce over egg noodles.

I make them by taking a thick piece of sirloin steak and cutting it into little pieces. I add the steak, two-three cans (depending on how much steak you are cookinging) of cream of mushroom soup and a little milk to my crock pot. I also season the meat w/ s & p, garlic powder, dehydrated onions and garlic. I cook that on low for most of the day. Be sure to check them periodically so they don't dry up. If they are getting dry add alittle more soup or milk. Usually I serve them over butter noodles. They're pretty tasty!

I found a great recipe yesterday morning and we had beef tips and rice for supper last night. It was so good. My husband is from Germany, and that is what they call goulash(sp). He loved it. It really was good.

I cooked it on the stove and only took 2 hours. The meat was very tender. I added mushrooms to the recipe.

I simply use round steak, rice, and brown gravy.
Season and cook the steak mix in brown gravy and make rice according to directions.
My husband and 7 year old loves this. It takes like 20 minutes to cook and is so easy.
