Has anyone seen a horned toad this last year? As I was watching the TCU football game tonight I began trying to think of the last time I saw a horned toad. It's been a long time. However, I do have two ex-horned frogs as neighbors.

I haven't seen one in years either. When I was little, we had a water cooler a/c. I remember always finding them under that a/c. and under the kitchen window outside.

Some one told me that the fire ants were getting them.

Or the pesticides used to kill the fire ants. Not to mention pesticides used on Red Ants which is primary to the Horned Frog(toad)diet.

Actually I think the fire ants are killing off the red ants, the toads primary food source.

Maybe take him out to the lake or take him to the land east of the Eastland Cemetery?
