I saw that on Oprah too. ( We have good taste, don`t we?) I haven`t had a chance to try it yet. But it sure sounds good. I already had all the ingredients except the chocolate chips. Think I`ll pick some up tomorrow and try to get it made this week end. I`ll let you know how it turns out. Mmmm, I can already taste it.

Let me know when you get it made. I have been thinking about this pie since the show (and I am not a pie person normally)

Oh my, I made this pie tonight and you talk about good! I know why it won I t is sooo good. It is kind of "gooey" if you don`t let it cool long enough. But something that taste this good, who cares. Ya gotta try if flowershild. Know what you mean about not being a pie person. Only 2 kinds I like are lemon meringue and pecan. But this now makes the 3rd kind of pie I like. Let me know if you make it and how well you like it.

Traveler, I finally made it today. Boy is it rich. Very good too. I can't wait to make it for the holidays.

Oprah wouldn`t eat it because she had a dress she said she had to get in. After making this, I know why she couldn`t eat it and get in the dress too, don`t you?

Boy, won`t this go a long way come holiday season? It is so rich it will take a very small slice to satisfy people. I loved it too. Glad you did.

I don't like any Granola bars--can you taste that taste in the pie? The rest of it sounds great.

I'm with you, Ranger. I had a bad experience with granola cereal when I was younger. *shudder* The chocolate chips part sounds yummy, though.

I have to admit that the only kind of granola bars I like are the ones in the green package. The others all taste so stale and well, really not much taste to them. I personally do not think this pie taste like granola bars.

As for the granola cereal they have and had. I never did like any of it. This pie doesn`t come close to tasting like any of those cereals. At least to me it doesn`t.

I think we should make BG a pie and let him be our deciding judge. Now the "we" in this paragraph should have read "Ranger." :chuckle2:

Do you crumble up the granola bars?

This sounds awesome!!! For those who have tasted it now, do you think a graham cracker crust would work with this pie? I'm really not a fan of regular pie crusts unless it's made by my Mom but I love graham cracker crusts. I have a feeling that the pie might go overboard in the rich factor though with a graham cracker crust. What do y'all think Traveler and Flowerchild?

Nonetheless, I'm writing this one down and adding to my recipes. I have got to try this. I just wish I could make a diabetic version but I'm not sure that that would be possible.

Thanks for sharing this one Traveler!!

You know, it`s funny you ask this question about the graham cracker crust. I too have been wondering if it would work. Wish you would try it and let me know. I would like to use this recipe, with a graham cracker crust at Christmas. Be sure and let me know if it worked?

Will do lady! I'll let you know if it locks my jaw. :chuckle2: :chuckle2: Heck, I'm thinking about substituting the peanut butter granola bars for the honey and oat granola bars. Peanuts for walnuts. My mind has been whirring about this one!!! :chuckle2:

CG, it is honey and oat. Do you mean you might substitute the honey and oat for peanut butter bars? I bet it would be good. Hurry and make it and let me know about that graham cracker crust. Wouldn`t that be sooo much easier and I bet better too?Mmmmmmm

I am going to make a pineapple upside down cake in the morning. Oh do I ever love those things. I think I could eat a whole one by myself. I put pecans in mine. They make the whole house smell good.
