Please keep Devon and his family in your prayers. He was in the truck accident which burned 50% of his body. He needed surgery to gain use in one of his arms, but that was put on hold because now he has developed blood clots in his chest and fluid in his lungs.

I think that because of the pneumonia they haven't been able to operate on his burns, but amazingly enough, they are beginning to heal on their own. He still hasn't talked yet because he is so heavily sedated, due to the excruciating pain. I have faith in God that he's going to pull through, but he still needs prayers, and so does poor Angela who is worn out.

As I was subbing at school today, I heard an announcement that they are accepting donations for this family.

I think they said that the high school started up this fund, but there was a sign about it in the elem. office. I am sure you could drop it off at any of the school offices and they will be sure it gets to the right place. Also, some of you may not have heard but the oldest girl is also in the hospital at this time. I do not know what her condition is, I have heard 2 different things so I do not want to post something that is wrong. Maybe someone on here can update us, as I do not know the family very well.

I was told today that Devon job fired him. This is so sad. We are keeping him and his family in our prayers. Where can we take donations too?

I am not sure that that is legal. I know that surely workman's comp is taking care of him. I think there is a limit on what they can do while he is under wormans comp. I have been praying for him and his family. The burn center is very good and I am sure he is getting the best care.

If they did fire him, that is like the lowest thing I've ever heard of. I wish I really knew how he was. I've heard everything from most of his nose being burned off. He and his family have been suffering. His job better hope they didn't fire him, or there will be lots of angry Eastlanders...myself included!

Update on the Golden's-:chuckle: GOOD NEWS!!

ALL of the Golden family returned home yesterday. Devin was released on Monday from Parkland. Shawnee was released on Wednesday from Children's Medical Center. They stayed at the hotel till yesterday as Devin had to have bloodwork done both Thursday and Friday. Dylan and Hannah were taken up on Wednesday evening to join them at the hotel. They were all together for the first time in 35 days. They have truly been blessed with the miracle of God's healing power.

Devin drove this morning into town with Shawnee to the grocery store and was excited that he was here and able to do a chore he had previously avoided whenever possible.
He has some nerve damage in his hands and some small scars on his back and abdominal area, but he looks wonderful and is very thankful of everyone's prayers and support.

Shawnee is doing well. She is still a little weak, but seems to be in good spirits and taking it all in stride. They are still waiting for some conclusive test results.

Please keep them all in your prayers as they still have a lot in front of them, but today they were happy and enjoying their first full day home. Both Devin and Angela are sure that Devin's turn around and Shawnee being where she needed to be in orders to be taken care of are direct results of everyone's prayers. God is in control of the situation even when we are unaware there is a situation to be in control of.
